On the fourth day...

Today I woke up with the sun!

The sunrise was so pretty with all the clouds.
Once again I was called to the sand in my PJs!
I took so many pictures!

I went back up to the house, made my coffee in a go cup, got the kiddos and we went to the beach to collect shells and have fun!

Marshall even had his morning milk on the beach!

The surf was still rough and it brought up lots of seashells and lots of these guys...

My babies had so much fun running, playing and exploring around!

There must have been a school of fish brought close to the beach, because all of a sudden there were birds everywhere dive bombing the waves and pecking at the sand!

We came upon this piece of drift wood and of course Mia turned it into a photo prop!
Oh my little fashionista! (I wish the lighting was better!)

A storm started rolling in and we got sprinkled on.
The kids wanted to go back up to the house.
I took them back, got them situated with breakfast, left them in daddy's capable hands and headed back down to the beach BY. MY. SELF!
It was heaven!
I walked along drinking my coffee, picking up shells and marveling at the beauty all around me.

The beach is definitely my happy place.
Why do I live in the desert?!?!

Later that morning Caleb took Mia back to the beach to fly the kite they had bought the day before.
It was awesome!

Such a fun daddy!

Then we went out for lunch and did some sight seeing.

Later while Marshall was napping I took Mia to the pool.
(The surf was still too rough and I was worried about the jellyfish!)

Next on the agenda was the Master Sandcastle Building competition!
It was hot and packed with tons of sweaty people, so we made our way through quickly and then got of there!
The sand sculptures were quite impressive though!

We were all D.U.N.- done after that.
So it was MickeybD's for dinner (yep!) and bed time!

Phew!
Day four was a busy one!
I am so enjoying all of the wonderful family time.
This is what it's all about!

  1. You all just filled every day with fabulous memories! Flying a kite on the beach is so cool! That sand sculpture event was so artistic:) You live in the desert because your precious husband didn't move you all the way to Florida (too far from me). Just keep those beach trips coming every year, and maybe someday.......xoxoxo
