My crafting just got more fun!
I am so excited!
I have really been enjoying using wood with my crafts lately
For example:
But asking the guys at Lowe's and HomeDepot to cut a 2x4 into small blocks or a plank into 5 pieces was like asking them to stick wood splinters under their fingernails!
So I did a little research, checked with my hubby and voila! I am a power saw girl now!
For my first project I made Mia an over sized cork board!
It turned out just as I had envisioned! And She loves it!
Now, what else can I make?!?!
You're my hero! We own a mitre saw and I mostly just fear it - its been in our garage for centuries it feels like (or when Bryan last used it to do the chair rail in Luke's room). But WOW, if I only knew the possibilities! Perhaps I will try and learn that machine. I really love those blocks. Like A LOT! Strong work!!!
ReplyDeleteYou could always make me a set of those blocks for Thankgsgiving and Christmas. I mean if you're bored and looking for something to do.:) Mia, what a lucky girl to have a cork board that BIG! I would have loved that when I was a teenager---I had to pin stuff on my curtains. Too cool!

WOW you ARE Miss Crafty, or is that "Craftman!" Yes be sooooo careful, it kinda scares me too but I'm a worry wart!! My only suggestion on Mia's board is to move it down so she doesn't have to precariously tip toe on that chair!! You can always move it back up as she grows. She's scaring me on that chair!! xoxoxox
