My little Mermaid

Mia has been asking when she can go swimming for a few weeks now.
I got a little tired of telling her the water was too cold, plus she saw the neighbor kids swimming in their pool, so I let her give it a try today!
As first I didn't think she was going to get in.
She put her feet in and said it was too cold.
But then her determination kicked in and off she went!
She lasted about 20 minutes.
Then it was time for a nice warm bath!
I think we are going to be in the pool A LOT this summer!
Let's hope Marshall likes it too!

Cut it out and ironed it onto a onsie...

Painted the negative space with a Clorox Bleach Pen...

and tada!

Mommy Monday quote of the day!

We were at the car wash today.
Mia asked for a penny to throw into the fountain so she could make a wish.
I gave her a penny,
She threw it in,
Then said "I wished that you will never go to work!"
My poor sweet girl.
My going back to work has been hardest on her.
I am hoping my new job will give me more time home with my family.

Caleb, well he was just happy to be home!

Marshall is 3 months old!

My sweet boy is growing so fast!
(Not fast enough for the doctor I guess, as we have been there twice now for weight checks!)
He weighs 11# 8oz! (only the 15th percentile)
He is "talking" and cooing all the time!
He has rolled from back to front and front to back already, although he isn't doing either regularly.
He is the BEST sleeper!
He goes to bed every night around 7:30.
I put him in his bed wide awake, and he just drifts off to dreamland!
(I am hoping it stays this way! I can remember the nights of having to let Mia cry it out!)
He wakes up between 3 and 4 to nurse, then back to bed he goes!
He is an early riser though. Always up by 6:45!
Mia is starting to enjoy him more since he is able to interact more with her!
I will say "Where is Mia?" and he looks at her and smiles!
She loves that!
He loves his mama, but does super with Daddy on the weekends while I am at work.
Grammy can always make him smile!
His hair is so silly!
From the back it looks awful!
He has a big 'ol bald spot! And he is starting to lose more around the sides!
I wonder what it is going to look like when it starts to grow back! Thank goodness he is a boy!
We love you Marshall!

This was my first ever canvas/painting project!
It is far from perfect, but after some fine tuning I think it is at least good enough to hang on the wall!

After Mia had so much fun with the bed tent at my mom's house, she (my mom) decided Mia needed a special bed at home too!

Easter Egg Hunt

Since I have to work all weekend, I decided to have a little Easter egg hunt for Mia and her friends.

 (Eating the candy that was in the eggs!)

It was such a simple little thing, but boy did I earn some major points with these kids!

One of the boys said to me "Has anyone ever told you how awesome you are?"!!!

And Mia said to me "Mom, this is the best party ever!"

That is all the thanks I need!

Easter Fashion!

I decided to try my hand at making freezer paper stencils with my Silhouette!
It was so fun!
I may be addicted now!

Here is how I did it!

First I designed my stencil.

 Then I cut it out with my amazing Silhouette!

Mommy Monday!

Well we all made it through my first day back at work!
Now we are snuggling in bed enjoying the return of "Mommy Monday"
Monday is my favorite day of the week!
