Valentine's Day

This is not the usual happy day of love for us today.

Mia is home sick from school.

And Caleb and I are on our way to Mimi's funeral.

In a way I look forward to the closure that the funeral will bring.

But I am so sad. 

Time will heal me.

And she will always be with me.

We lost our Mimi tonight.

She was my husband's Grandma, my kid's Great Grandma and my friend.

I'm going to miss her so much.

My sweet husband sent me flowers today!

A rare and special treat!

And my mama sent me the griddle I have been wanting!

To cheer me

I haven't planted any flowers this season. 

Today was the second day of gloomy gray skies here.

My spirits needed lifting.

I could feel my soul brightening with every flower planted.

When I was finished, most of the clouds had broken up and the sun was shining.

Just what me and my new flowers needed.

My Mim.

She's slipping away from me.

Last time I saw her she couldn't quit touching me.

She held my hand and rubbed it. 

We cuddled in her twin size bed.

We told each other how much we love the other.

No matter where this journey takes her, she will always be in my heart.

Bubbles!

I blew some bubbles with my best boy today!

He ate the solution, more then he blew bubbles!

I couldn't convince him to hold the wand further away from his mouth!

The weird part was that he really didn't seem to mind the taste.

Only the rare funny face and upset over why he couldn't get it to work!

Silly boy!

We had fun, and that is what matters most!
