We had Grandma and Grandpa over for dinner tonight!
They wanted to see Marshall and love on him.
And they got to spend some time with my mom too!
Mimi insisted that we three girls have our picture taken together!
Grandpa took one, Caleb took quite a few, but in the end the "selfie" won for picture of the night!
Love these ladies!

Movie at The Montoya's

The kids had early release today so we had movie day!
I bought the movie Epic, made lots of popcorn and grape kool aid and we invited over some friends!

I love that we live in a neighborhood with kids for Mia to be friends with.
And am so thankful that I am able to be home and create these memories with the kids!

Mia

Oh my precious Girl.
She is growing up more with every blink.
She is loving school.
And doing amazing there too!
Her teacher told me that her reading assessment put her at the 3rd grade level!
She blew through her monthly homework packet in one week.
So now Mrs. Breedlove sends home second grade reading comprehension homework!
She also sends home chapter books for Mia to read. She introduced us to the joy of the Magic Treehouse Series! We finish one a week and are loving them! Mia is so excited to see what's gonna happen next I have to tell her to read slower so I can understand her!
Her brain continues to amaze and inspire me!
We have her first parent teacher conference next week.
Looking forward to that!

She plays with her friends every. single. day.
We pretty much have a revolving door between their house and ours!
It is great having friends right across the street!

I am getting better at not having her by my side all day.
I sure miss her' but am enjoying seeing the beautiful (inside and out) young lady she is becoming!

We love you B Love!

Marshall

(Here he is wearing sister's cool shades and singing his favorite song "Itsy Bitsy Spider"! We sing it many times a day!)

This boy is the light of my days!
We both miss Mia while she is at school, but are loving spending special time together!

He has really blossomed these last few weeks.
He is talking SO much! I love hearing his sweet voice and picking up the new words he is saying.
He still has a hard time with M's.
I am Bobby and Mia is still Bia!
But we don't mind.
As long as he runs to me yelling with love and excitement he can call me anything!

He has started telling us when he needs a new diaper.
He points to his pants and says "pee pee" or "doodie"!!
It is so cute!
Just another step in his growing up.

He LOVES being outside.
He can be crying over whatever and if I say, you want to go outside, the tears stop instantly and he is smiling and squealing and saying "side!!!".
He doesn't care that it is over 100 degrees out there either :-/
I look forward to cooler weather so we can spend more time out of doors!

Every morning we walk Mia to the bus stop.
I am pretty sure this is his favorite part of the day.
He walks along with Mia and her friends and he would keep walking right on to the bus if he could!
He yells "BUS" and gets right in line!
Them he stands there and says "Bye" to everyone!

I could go on and on.
This precious boy just completes our family and we are so glad he is ours.

Juice!!!

I have found the fun and goodness (most of the time!) of juicing!
I definitely don't eat enough fruits and veggies, so this is a great way to get them in there!
And the possibilities are endless!

This one didn't taste so hot.
I should have known when the underside of the juicer looked like the underside of my law mower after cutting the lawn!
I got it down though and have since found plenty that I do like, and even crave when it has been a day or two since I have had one!

Rainy Day Fun!!!

It was raining when we walked Mia to the bus this morning.
When we got back to the house, I put some sandals on my boy and we played out there for over an hour!

It was so wonderful to be outside!
We both had a blast!

Just got my wedding ring back!
It's been in the shop for 8 days for a bit of an overhaul!
16 years of wear were starting to take their toll.
It may not be as big as some, but the promise, love and commitment it symbolizes
are bigger then I ever imagined!
So happy it's back where it belongs

Me and Marsh

Played around with the front facing camera on my phone tonight with my boy!
Love him so...

Me and my Mimi

I had a date with Mimi today!
It was a special treat for us both.
We went out for lunch at my fave place-
The Old Spaghetti Factory!
(Pretty sure it is her fave now too ;)
Then we went Shpatziring!
(That is the yiddish word for wandering around!)
It was wonderful to hang out just the 2 of us!
I am so thankful that she lives here now and we get to have lots of great times!
She is my Grandma by chance
(She's really Caleb's Step-Grandma)
But my friend by choice!
Love ya Mim!

Tumbleweed Rec Center

I took Marshall over to the TRC for some fun indoor play today!
He was able to run free and play!

There was a Zumba class going on on the other side of the gym!
Marshall had fun gettin his groove on!

It only cost $2.
We will do this some more!

Boy toys!

You can tell that Marshall has a big sister!
He often plays with her barbies.
Even when she is at school!
(I think he is missing her!)
We really don't care what he plays with, but daddy has commented a few times lately that we need to get him some boy toys!
I found this tough guy at Target today!
 And this.
He played with them some.
I think the GI Joe guy scared him a little!
He talks and makes gun sounds.

And alas...
He his back to sister's barbies!!!
