Marshall the explorer!

Now that my boy is mobile, he is enjoying exploring the house!

I was joking the other day that I need to stick a Swiffer Sweeper pad to his belly and let him loose on all that tile! It's a thought.....

(Notice how is left leg is always bent in the air?? So funny!)

Trampoline fun!

Today I took Mia and her friend Kambri to...

The girls were so excited to go!
They held hands almost the whole way there!

So cute!

 The girls loved running and jumping on the trampolines!

 And the foam pit was a big hit too!

Both of them were a bit scared of this gigantic alligator at first!
But then they warmed up to him and had a blast shooting down the big slide!

Marhsall came along and had a good time also!
He loved laying on the tramps and being gently bounced around!

It was a super fun outing and I am sure we will do it again soon!

Finger Foods

Marhsall is my little eater!
He has recently been introduced to some of the baby finger foods!
I'm not sure what part he likes better, the food or the fact that he is feeding himself!
Here he is in his highchair!
He looks so tiny in it!

The Spider!

Remember doing this when you were a kid?

Man I love these kids!

They keep me young!

And grounded- even when we are flying high :)

Now that Mia is reading she insists on picking out her own greeting cards!
This is the one she chose for Caleb's birthday!
I wish I could have captured the love and joy on her face as she read it to herself then turned to me and said "Mom this one is perfect!"

She sure does love her daddy!

 This is my new favorite place!

They just opened one in our hood last month and Mia has been asking to go every since!

Well with 2 birthdays in September I figured now was a good time to check it out!

The first birthday is my mom's.

All Mia kept saying was that she wanted to make a hand print plate.

I wasn't real thrilled with the idea (what does a grandma do with a hand print plate?)

but when we got there I saw that you can turn your plate in to a clock!

Brilliant!

So Mia got to work on her plate!

 She had so much fun and did the whole thing with very little help from me!

She is very proud of her masterpiece!

We think it turned out awesome and so does Mama d!

While we were there I was looking at some of the examples hanging around,

And got an idea for Caleb's birthday!

It required both kids to be there, and let's just say that it wasn't as much fun as Mia and I's first experience!

Once I had both of their footprints - that was all I needed them for!

I left my tile there 1/4 finished, took Mia to school, fed Marshall and put him down for a nap, handed Grammy the monitor and went back!

This is the finished product for Caleb's birthday!

 It turned out so great!

I must admit the time that I spent there alone was the best!

It was so therapeutic and relaxing!

I might have to come up with some more gifts I need to make and plan a date with me, myself and I!

8 Months!

3/4 of a year?
How is this possible?
I can't stand how fast time is flying.
But I say that every month.
ugh!

Well it has been a fun month!
My boy is mobile!
He is the fastest little inch worm ever.
He has figured out that there is more to the world then his immediate surroundings and loves to go exploring in the house.
He is starting to play more and more with his big sister.
He loves to play with her Tiana barbie doll!
(Caleb calls her his girlfriend!)
He is an eating machine!
He still only has 2 teeth.
His belly laughs make my day
He gives the best open-mouthed kisses!!!!

This is my favorite age of infancy! He is so happy and fun!
Can't wait to see what this month brings!

15 years!!!

We are celebrating 15 years of marriage today!

My Practical Joker!

I can't remember where Mia got this scary spider, but it sure has scared the life out if me a few times!
She sneaks around and puts it in places where I will find it.
Inside the iPad cover, on my seat, on top of my drink, on my lap, and many more places!
And every time it gives me a start before I realize it is fake!!!
Today I found it on my work bag!

Maybe she thinks if I am too scared to pick up my bag I won't got to work?!?!
