I must never forget this

Pure joy

Earlier today Mia and Marshall were playing with a ball together, she was kicking it and running around and he was inching along as fast as his little legs and arms would go trying to "get the ball"!
She had him giggling and squealing with delight!
It made my heart soar!
I thought to myself-
This is perfection, this moment in time, I never want to forget this. This is what it is all about!
I love my life!

We spent the morning at the amazing public pool near our house!

It was so fun! 

Marshall was able to sit in the beach entry with me and play, play, play!

Mia had a blast running around and meeting new friends!

It was quite the perfect day!

(Except I didn't reapply the sunscreen and Mia and I got a bit too much sun- oops!)

One of my friends bought these pom poms for her girls and they were too big for them so she put a post out on FB asking if anyone was interested.

Of course I knew Mia would love them!

And L.O.V.E. them she does!!!

I don't know how she does it, but she put these pom poms in her hands and started doing cheers and moves that I have never heard her do before!

Where does she learn these things?!?!

She even made up her own cheer today!

I'm pretty sure I will be hearing the swishing of the pom poms in my sleep tonight!

Inch Worm

My boy started the army crawl on Friday!
Except it is more like a little inch worm inching along!
He keeps his hands clasped together in front of him!
It is so stinkin' cute!!!
I got the best video of it on my phone and am trying to get it to upload to my computer so I can post it here!

Mama d, Mama d, you're the one for us!!!!

 My mom came for a long awaited visit last week!
We love her so much and just can't get enough of her when she is here!
She probably needs a few days to recuperate when she gets home!
I was terrible with the camera this visit,
But here are 2 of my faves that I managed to get!

You have always been the best back floater and I love that you were teaching my girl to do it!)

Mia's Sunflower!

 It's a little small for a sunflower, but we love it none the less!

Lucky 7!!!

My boy is 7 months old today!
(big sigh!)

He is growing like a weed since he has been eating solids!
And he is getting so strong too.
He sometimes pulls his knees up under him when he is playing on the floor and I hold my breath thinking- here he goes...
But luckily I am still able to put him down and he mostly stays put!
Lord help me when he is mobile!
He has developed a habit of waking up at around 3:30 or 4:00am to eat. I don't mind much. This is the quietest, calmest feeding of the day and I rather enjoy it!
He just sprouted his second tooth yesterday! His first one came in a week ago!

You can just barely see his 2 bottom teeth!

I am hoping for his sake that he gets a little break before more try to get out.
Teething is tough!
He is pretty good at sitting up on his own these days.
Loves to make raspberries, and is experimenting with lots of other sounds!
He smacks his lips sometimes and it is so cute!
He has started to say "dada"- I think it is just babbling, and I am working on "mama"!
He has the attention span of a baby boy!
I have to get creative sometimes!
He LOVES to eat his solids!
I can't eat anything around him without him trying to get it!
Sometimes I will just hold it up to his mouth/nose and he will just smell it and get all excited and make grunting noises.
This kid loves to grunt!!! It is so funny!
Well he is no longer happy playing in his walker, so I must go entertain him!

Like father, like daughter

I found this lovely self portrait Caleb and Mia took!

Him with his monkey face and her with his patented big lip face!

She gets all of her wacky-ness from her daddy!

These two keep me in stitches!

Pre-K!!!!!!

I just dropped my girl off at her first day of Pre-K!
I simply refuse to think about this time next year!
How has time gone by so fast?
I digress...
She was sooooo excited to get back to school.
I bought her a special outfit for the occasion and we all know she loves her some fashion!
*Her kind of fashion that is ;)

When I asked her how she wanted to wear her hair today she asked for a single pony tail and her bangs swooped to the side!
Her hair is just now long enough to wear a single pony tail again!
She was feeling pretty special!

It was only when I had finished her hair and we both looked into the mirror that I realized we were matching and our hair was essentially the same too! (mine is in a bun!)
My heart swelled as I looked at me and my sweet girl and saw myself in her and some of her in me!

She has made me a better person, she has taught me how to truly laugh, how to love more then I ever thought possible, she is the one who first made my dream of motherhood a reality and so much more.

I love you my angel baby- way, way more then you know!
I am so proud to be your mama.
You will always be my best girl!

Mia and I made lots of food for Marshy today!

 Apples,

 bananas, apples and blueberry applesauce!

 His little section of the freezer is so colorful!

 I made him blueberries the other day and he LOVED them!

I am really enjoying making his food-
And it makes me feel good when he likes it!
So far he will pretty much gobble down anything I give him!
I even tried avocado again the other day and he liked it this time!

Marshall's first tooth popped thru today!!!

Bathing Beauties!

Mia and Marshall got to take their first bath together tonight!

They both enjoyed it and it was nice to get it all done at once!
